Walter has worked at several major agencies in the areas of strategic planning and branding research on over sixty consumer and B2B accounts; including J.P. Morgan, J&J Baby Shampoo, Scott Paper Company, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Goodyear, AT&T, Mobil Oil Corporation, Rolaids, TV Guide, Sony, CIT Group and American Airlines among them.

He is starting his eleventh year as Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Corporate and Public Communications at Seton Hall University. His courses range from marketing communications research to strategic brand positioning, and is designated as the University Spokesperson on marketing and advertising issues.

He can often be seen and heard on radio, television and on-line talking about marketing research, focus groups and specific marketing disciplines. Recent appearances include the Fox Business News network, ABC, National Public Radio, CNN,

 

Bloomberg Radio, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, the LA Times and others.

Walt has been acknowledged by Business News New Jersey Magazine as one of the “Top 100” most influential business leaders in the state and has received the Governor’s Gold Medal Award, the highest honor the state of New Jersey can bestow on a resident. He has been inducted into the New Jersey Advertising Hall of Fame and received Person of the Year “Spirit of Giving” Award from the Park Avenue Club Foundation.

His most recent article “March Madness” appears in US News & World Report and he is currently working on an upcoming book called “How to Evaluate Advertising.”
Walt received an Ars Baccalaureate degree from Columbia College and a Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers School of Law in addition to several honorary degrees for his work in multi-cultural communications.
